Remembering Our Elders
Quarterly, ASHF visits The Plano Senior Apartments to host various activities for the residents. There are over 80 residents that attend these activities. Our staff and volunteers decorate for themed activities, we provide crafts for the residents, snacks, drinks and prizes for games. The residents love to play Bingo, so we mostly create a theme around Bingo. Throughout the Bingo games and after, we visit with the residents, getting to know them and allowing them to have people to talk to.
The Seniors really enjoy and look forward to us coming out. Please join us as we give me to a segment of our community that is often forgotten. This is also a great time to involve children, so we can show them the importance of spending time with the elderly.

COME JOIN USWe need volunteers to help us host Bingo and other activities with the Seniors. Adult volunteers are also encouraged to bring their children to visit with the Seniors.

DONATEWe depend on donations to help make these activities a success. All proceeds received for the Senior Activities are used to decorate, by gifts, prizes, food and drinks for the Seniors. The donations are also tax deductible.
